It's a new year and along with a new year of course comes our new daylily introductions from OnRussell. We are very proud of our premier introduction this year 'Sarah Ste. Claire Young'. Along with Sarah we also have five other new introductions for your gardening pleasure. Italian Sunglasses, Misha's Purple Elephant, Vicious Pink, Big Bear Hugs and Fire in the Sky. Our 2012 introductions are also still available Bernice Watt our color changing introduction, Belle's flower and Unconditional Hugs.
Of course we have our benefit plants from 2011 where the majority of the proceeds go to benefit the Humane society of Kawartha Lakes. Man's Best Friend, Damian Carlton Jewell and Sweet Puppy Kisses. As you can probably tell by the names they are all about dogs, one of my other true passions in life. After the loss of my best friend Damian a couple years back I knew that my first introductions would celebrate the life and times we had together. Lucy my other friend that I lost only a couple months later is not ready yet but rest assure she is on her way and big and bold and as spectacular as Lucy always was. A portion of the sales of these three beauties will go to support the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes where I am an volunteer agent in some of my off time.
We have also added throughout the garden some new and unusual perennial plants that we are currently trialing for sale in the next few years. What can we say ... we just keep on growing!
